Meet The Teachers

Lead Preschool Teacher, Miss Lizzy (2026–2027)

We are proud to introduce Miss Lizzy, our Lead Preschool Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year at Ash & Elm Preschool.

Miss Lizzy brings warmth, patience, and a true passion for early childhood education into every day. As a local mom of two and a devoted dog mom, she understands firsthand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.

Her classroom is rooted in play-based learning, where children build independence, develop social-emotional skills, and explore the world around them through hands-on experiences. Miss Lizzy believes every child learns at their own pace and is committed to helping each one feel seen, valued, and capable.

Families love her calm, caring presence and her ability to build meaningful connections with every child. Under her guidance, children grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally, building the confidence and skills that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

We are honored to have Miss Lizzy leading our preschool program and supporting our Ash & Elm families.

Preschool Teacher's Assistant, Miss Gretchen (2026–2027)

Miss Gretchen is a caring and enthusiastic part of our preschool team. As our Teacher’s Assistant, she helps create a calm, supportive, and joyful environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.

Miss Gretchen also leads our Lunch Bunch program, where children explore mindfulness, yoga, social-emotional learning, and fun gross motor activities. She loves helping children build confidence, develop emotional awareness, and strengthen their bodies through movement and play.

At home, Miss Gretchen is a proud wife and mom to two wonderful sons and shares her home with her beloved dogs. She loves gardening, creating art, and spending time with animals.

Miss Gretchen brings warmth, creativity, and a gentle, nurturing presence to our preschool community, and she feels honored to be part of each child’s early learning journey.
